My name is Catherine Wall and I am a coloured pencil and graphite pencil artist, specialising in pet portraits. Caring for pets and creating art are a passion for me and I believe that this comes through in my work.
Throughout my life, I have owned both dogs, cats and fish! Domestic animals are not just pets but are important members of our families and I treat each commission I receive as if the pet is my own!

You might not know exactly what you want yet and that is no problem!
Send through your favourite clear and well-lit photographs of your lovely pet and I will take a look at them and make recommendations to you as to which would make the best reference photograph that I will use for your artwork. We can discuss whether you would like a graphite or a coloured pencil drawing and the size of the portrait as well as the price and timeline for completion.
There is no obligation during this stage – I want you to be happy and to be comfortable with the reference photograph that will be hand-drawn for you.
When you are ready to go ahead, I will confirm the price of the artwork and let you know when I can start work and how long it will take to be completed. All artwork is subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Once you are happy, you can secure your commission with a 25% deposit.
Once I have started your artwork, I will keep you up to date with photographs of how it is progressing (unless you would prefer me not to do so). When the artwork is completed, and you are happy with it, simply pay the outstanding amount and I will send it to you.

Graphite drawings are created using Derwent graphite pencils and I will use either Derwent Lightfast drawing paper or Winsor & Newton drawing paper.
For coloured pencil drawings, I will use Faber-Castell Polychromos Coloured Pencils, Caran D’Ache Luminance Coloured Pencils and Derwent Lightfast Coloured Pencils on West Design Polydraw, Clairfontaine Pastelmat, Derwent Lightfast or Winsor & Newton drawing paper.
